6—Mid Columbia River Region
This region of the Columbia River offers many perspectives on how the river was, and is used. This is where commercial barging ends, some of the last unimpeded areas of the river flow free, and the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford Site is located. The area is also rich with historical significance including the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the Whitman Mission National Historic Site.
