Pi on the Web Field Trip

Introduction:

Hi, my name is Shelley Walsh and I teach for the University of Maryland, European Division. I teach adult education mathematics courses at US command RAF bases in the United Kingdom. I sometimes teach beginning students about pi and how to find the circumference and area of a circle. Pi is a very important number in mathematics and has a very interesting history. It is much talked about, particularly on the web, so I developed this tour so that my students and other students could take better advantage of this.
